We are seeking a General Manager to ensure the day-to-day tactical operations of the business are continually operating at a high level. Reporting directly to the President and EVP, this senior officer of the agency will have decision-making authority and will provide motivational leadership to the team, ensuring all processes and programs of the agency run smoothly. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Manage the planning and execution of the agency’s strategies, policies and programs, ensuring the most effective use of agency funds, personnel, and other resources
- Lead a team of professionals to establish goals for success and drive measurable results for the agency, including process and strategy for gaining influence in key industry initiatives
- Oversee the agency’s workflow including Account Management, Project Management and New Business
- Establish goals and budgets for the agency and its departments and ensure all deliverables are met
- Manage and control sales revenue by developing strong relationships with clients while seeking opportunities to expand services to existing clients
- Pursue the development of new business leads and contacts, assist with new business presentations and pitches
- Achieve budgeted financial goals and grow the agency’s revenue share, develop non-traditional revenue sources
- Report all activity to senior management on a weekly basis, providing input and feedback with regard to employee productivity, company programs and processes
- Create and maintain an inspired, motivated atmosphere in which employee’s willingly produce at maximum capacity
- Promote a favorable public image of the agency
- Possess strong and persuasive communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of people
- Ability to recognize talent and retain high performers
- An analytical and creative thinker with an innovative and inspired work ethic
- Ability to cultivate long-term trusting relationships with both clients and employees
- Must understand how to manage client budgets and conduct client meetings
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work under deadlines and pressure with a positive attitude
- Endless enthusiasm for multicultural marketing
- Advanced computer and presentation skills
- Bilingual/multilingual a plus
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or related field. MBA desired
- A minimum of 8+ years' senior management advertising agency experience and a thorough knowledge of strategy, media and creative development
