Our team is in need of a creative and savvy online/interactive designer with relevant industry experience across both online and print creative development. We are not an interactive agency but a full-service advertising firm with presence across all media channels including print, television, radio, outdoors and online as well as active presence across other marketing and communications tactics. Your position in the agency will support our clients’ interactive campaigns as well as agency’s online focused growth and marketing. It will provide vital support to key agency personnel including teams in Account Services, Media, Production, Traffic and of course Creative.
We have a dedicated base of clients for whom we manage ethnic marketing campaigns regionally and nationally. These campaigns are managed across leading ethnic groups covering Hispanic, Asian, Eastern European, Middle Eastern and the various sub-groups within these larger ethnic segments. You can expect yourself to be designing websites, advertising and other interactive components in major languages such as Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and many more, besides English. You don’t need to know these languages as translated content will always be provided but a general understanding of in-language site development and its multilingual application across systems will be helpful.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent sense of design composition coupled with a strong understanding of software functionality and updated on the latest trends in online design and development. You must demonstrate some interest and passion for multicultural advertising and designing.
- Create and design all online assets including websites, advertisements and newsletters
- Design and maintain websites and other online advertising design-focused projects
- Work closely with creative team to storyboard and animate designs that deliver on achieving client and business objectives
- Responsible for tactical design, project management and internal/external consultations and presentations
- Track record of web site design development, integration and launch throughout the development life cycle
- Acts as a key stakeholder in the creative process, implementation and maintenance of all online initiatives
- Handles special online projects and other design/creative duties as assigned
- Expertise designing for Web projects from ad banners to multipage web sites
- Expert knowledge of color, space, typography, and the formal design process
- Solid experience in advertising design or marketing communications. 3D and motion design a plus
- Ability to create fresh, new, engaging, effective visual solutions that unite brand identification, marketing, and business objectives
- Ability to listen to clients’ directions and come up with creative ways to meet requests
- Good knowledge of Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML5, PHP & CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Illustrator and other industry-standard applications
- Strong team dynamics collaborating with Senior Art Director and Creative Director
- Effective written and spoken communication skills
- Bilingual is preferred
- Completed undergraduate degree in Advertising/Communications, Graphic Design or Visual Communications
- Experience with Multimedia, Interactive, Cascade Styling Sheets - CSS, XML, XHTML, Photoshop, Java Script, Java, In Design, Illustrator, HTML, HTML5, Flash Action Scripting, Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver
