San Francisco, CA (Dec. 13,2011)
San Francisco-based multicultural marketing agency Améredia was named Supplier of the Year by the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Delaware Minority Supplier Development Council (PA-NJ-DE MSDC) for its partnership with Comcast, one of the world's leading media, entertainment and communications companies.
Winners were announced on Dec. 2 at the MSDC Choice Awards in Philadelphia, which brought together 400+ guests, including Fortune 500 executives, minority business owners, public and private sector leaders, and government officials.
Four categories of minority business enterprises (MBE) were named Suppliers of the Year. Winners were selected for sales revenue, high quality products and services and contributions to the growth and development of their communities.
“We are proud to recognize Améredia as Supplier of the Year,” said Wade Colclough, president and CEO of the PA-NJ-DE MSDC. “It was not only fitting to applaud Améredia’s outstanding business performance, but also its dedication to providing stellar, innovative services to its customers.”
As Comcast’s Multicultural Agency of Record, Améredia successfully manages its brand, strategy and marketing communications across 16 diverse ethnic groups nationwide. The agency is also Comcast’s preferred diverse partner and plays a key role in supporting its diversity initiatives.
By nature of its business (multicultural/ethnic/diverse advertising, marketing and communications), Améredia is truly diverse from the inside out. The Améredia team is comprised of world-class bilingual professionals from more than 16 ethnicities who collectively speak more than 25 different dialects and languages. Most of the vendors that the agency works with are diverse vendors, and often verified as minority-owned.
Améredia’s multicultural and diversity-focused creative work, initiatives, growth and innovation have recently been lauded by other hallmark organizations such as the ADCOLOR Industry Coalition, American Advertising Federation, the Association of National Advertisers, Diversity Business, the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications and the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce.
