San Francisco, CA July 25,2011
Améredia, the San Francisco-based multicultural advertising agency, was selected in July into the San Francisco Business Times’ list of largest advertising agencies. The list includes 25 agencies from around the San Francisco Bay Area, the nation’s sixth largest DMA.
As the only agency on the list with focus on diverse multicultural markets covering Hispanics, Asian American, European American and other ethnic groups, Améredia joined the ranks of prominent agencies within the Top 10, which include: Goodby, Silverstein & Partners; AKQA; Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners; Draftfcb; Organic Inc.; Venables Bell and Partners; Razorfish; Eleven Inc.; Publicis & Hal Riney; and Duncan/Channon.
“We are larger not only in size but also in our vision,” said Améredia Co-founder and Principal Pawan J. Mehra. “This recognition is very telling of our growth and the change in communication strategies that brands are implementing as a result of a new U.S. demographic landscape.”
Améredia’s growth comes from partnerships established within the private, public, and nonprofit sectors and a renowned team of global agency professionals. As American consumers increasingly become more diverse, intermixed and multicultural, Améredia builds its expertise and success in these expanding ethnic markets which together account for annual purchasing power in excess of $1.5 trillion. Clients and agencies alike continuously find partnerships with Améredia fulfilling of their multicultural marketing objectives.
Earlier this year, Améredia was selected as a Top Business in America by DiversityBusiness.com, winning five awards including “Top 100 Diversity Owned Businesses in California”. Moreover, the agency received its second consecutive Fast 50 Company recognition by the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce and was also named a Top 10 Asian American Business in California.
The recent milestones highlight Améredia’s consistent and robust growth since its inception in 2003, and add to the agency’s running list of industry-wide recognitions such as the Excellence in Multicultural Marketing, American Design, Communicator, Hermes, Mark and TELLY awards, among others.
